Monday 15 July 2013 – Stromness and Kirkwall

We took the bus to Kirkwall and visited the Highland Park distillery, where we joined a very good tour and had a taste of the whisky.  This distillery is one that malts its own barley (well about 20% of their consumption) using the old manual methods.  They were not brewing at the time of the tour.
