Intended as a sight-seeing day, finishing at Aith where we would anchor and then go ashore in the morning to visit the shop.
We passed through Sound of Papa, which seemed reasonably straightforward when going with the tide. However it is not always so smooth and there are many times when the island ferry cannot operate. We were told that the power cable had been broken twice by weather and tide, not by anchors and fishing gear.
After visiting Vementry we motored to Aith and found they had a pier and small marina, so we went into the marina and were helped onto a visitors’ berth.
