A little tidal planning was needed to get back to Stromness. You have to go with the tide in the Sound of Hoy and cannot pass W of Graemsay as the channel is blocked with wartime wrecks or blockships. So we left on the flood and went to Houton on the mainland side and anchored. Too idle to go ashore, we waited for a while and then took the ebb tide to Stromness.
